“I had a passion for the industry and I thought I could provide better services than what I had received during each of those transactions,” says Hebdon. “Prior to earning my mortgage broker license in June 2023, I was a finance manager in automotive and a dealer services consultant training finance managers across Vancouver island and in Vancouver.”
While Hebdon had years of experience in the automotive financial services industry, she says that it is only in the mortgage sector where she found her true calling. That coupled with a bachelor's degree in communications from Royal Roads University set Hebdon up for success.
“I bring valuable expertise to support my clients seamlessly. My unwavering commitment is to assist individuals in realizing their homeownership aspirations by delivering tailored solutions,” says Hebdon, now a broker at Modern Mortgage Group, a division of Dominion Lending Centre. “I am dedicated to securing the most favourable rates for my clients, alongside prioritizing advantageous terms and conditions.”

Hebdon takes pride in her ability to help her clients understand the process from beginning to the end, by explaining the process so they can understand the ins and outs of a mortgage. In her time in the industry, Hebdon says that the most important lesson so far is that there is no file too complicated, nor too small, to work on. In fact, she’ll tell you she thrives on difficult files.
Hebdon recalls one of her very first clients; one who had been pre-approved (so they thought) for a mortgage only to find out when it was time to buy, that the couple didn’t qualify.
“It was a very tricky case but I was able to get them approved for the amount needed,” says Hebdon. “I love getting those wins for people when they thought they couldn’t see the idea of home ownership in their future. It was a big honour for me.”

When not working diligently for clients, Hebdon enjoys camping, traveling with her family, as well as carving out time for exercise, cooking and the occasional night out with her husband.
As a lifelong Victoria native, Vancouver Island holds a special place in her heart for many reasons.
“What I love most is the incredible blend of natural beauty, vibrant communities, and the laid-back lifestyle that makes it such a unique place to live. The island is a true paradise for me,” says Hebdon.
Hebdon believes that everyone should have the right to home ownership and does that by treating people with the respect they deserve, and being there to help them achieve their dream. It’s a motto that is certainly working for Hebdon.
