You can say that Jeffrey Tseng was destined to enter the financial world.

Tseng grew up in a close knit family filled with older cousins who were all bankers. So it seemed fitting that after graduating from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Economics that he would follow suit.

“I was hired by RBC before I finished my fourth year at UBC,” says Tseng. “I spent the next two decades at RBC and BMO in the retail and commercial lending side, then in 2016 was offered an opportunity to work in private equity focussed on real estate acquisitions and investments with a local investment group.”

From there, his career pivoted to a small startup, where he really honed his skills in real estate investments.

When he isn’t at his desk crunching numbers, Tseng loves hanging out with his fiancée, close friends and family. Tseng loves to explore the great outdoors and new culinary experiences, whether that’s right here in the Lower Mainland or abroad. He also loves to travel, read or simply relax at home in Richmond.

“Richmond is a place I am proud to call home. It is a diverse coastal city with a strong education system, beautiful parks, and plenty of modern amenities,” says Tseng. “It's a cultural hub with a renowned Asian food scene and unique attractions like the International Buddhist Temple, the historic fishing village of Steveston, and the Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site.”

Tseng is also passionate about volunteering his time. Near and dear to his heart is the Alzheimer Society of BC. His father passed away from dementia, driving Tseng to do anything he can to help find a cure.

“Although I'm not an active member of the Alzheimer Society of BC., however, I still continue to support the society in many other ways,” says Tseng.

For years, he has sat on the credit committee board for a local First Nations community, reviewing credit and grant applications and giving recommendations.

“I’m honoured to volunteer for this important cause with two other board members,” he explains.
