SUCCESS! We were looking, but not too serious, about the possibility of moving our young family from a fantastic new townhouse into a detached home, or something with a bit more space. We began with a few offers having to keep the subject to sale of our home. Our offers were not accepted due to the fact that the market had began it's cool down phase, which happened a lot faster than expected. Finally we made the decision to put our home on the market in order to get an acc...epted offer with another home. Phil was able to get our home photo's, listed and set up for showings within a 3 day period. For the next month Phil made himself available for private showings, weekends of open houses and maintained a positive attitude through the whole process. With the market getting as tough as it did, he did not waiver in his abilities, or ours, in order to make things happen. While time was not on our side for the original offer, Phil continued to show us other opportunities, which led us to our new home. With the sale of our home and an accepted offer on our new house, tight turn around and head spinning logistics, Phil kept calm, in control, assisted with all negotiations and gave us a realistic glimpse into how this Vancouver market operates. Never one to give false hope he kept us in the loop with happenings and conversations had so that we maintained our feeling of being in control of the situation. Once all was said and done, we have found ourselves in a place we would have never expected, a great sale of our Townhouse, room to grow and continue living on the North Shore. While we were travelling, the tenants of our rental condo gave notice that they were moving out of province. Motivated now to sell, we phoned our Realtor, Phil Reigh at InHabit Vancouver. He took care of the move-out cleaning, hired a staging company, presented us with comparable listings/solds in the area and listed within 2 weeks. He then created the marketing brochures and scheduled an open house. Just prior to the open house, Phil had 3 requests for showings. That night, he was able to negotiate a HIGHER than asking, no subject deal, with a very quick closing. A Seller’s Dream! The contract was signed, the Open house was cancelled, the staging removed and everybody walked away happy! And turns out he set a new record for price per square foot in the building!
