Lawrence has worked in tech for nearly his entire career, having seen everything from the late ‘90s dot-com boom to the rise of Instagram and more. “Real estate technology has been a part of my DNA for over 20 years,” he says. “I began my journey into real estate technology specifically working hand-in-hand with New Homes developers, builders, landlords and property managers,” he recalls.
That’s why he was drawn to REW. Lawrence notes that being the VP of Sales here leverages many of the same skillsets he has refined in his previous roles. And he’s been in Vancouver long enough to “remember the original newspaper publication where it was called Real Estate Weekly,” he says. In fact, the first job he had was delivering the Burnaby Now newspaper – which, like REW, is now part of Glacier Media Group – and he still recalls the splash of colour it brought to the front page. “Right away, I had that brand recognition with REW. And so that legacy was one of the things that first piqued my interest,” he says.
Lawrence is brimming with ideas of what he hopes to accomplish now that he’s settling into his new role. “REW’s brand is well known and positioned as having the most comprehensive solutions that connect Homeseekers with agents and sellers of new and existing homes,” he says. “We support developers and sellers with the sale of their homes using proven and effective tools that facilitate interaction with Homeseekers in the most powerful, efficient and elegant way possible.”
With REW’s team of talented employees, marketing channels and expert One Member agents, Lawrence believes REW is the place to be for anyone looking to find a home. “My team’s role is to facilitate meaningful connections during one of the most important and personal transactions an individual or family will ever experience,” says Lawrence. “We can promote, differentiate and highlight homes and projects in a variety of ways to ensure your home’s story is told.”

If you want to find the best agents, Homeseekers and projects, then REW should be your first stop.

And Lawrence has personal experience with Vancouver to back up his belief in the potential of the city and its real estate. Not only is he a homeowner himself, but when he’s not at work, you can find him taking in the Lower Mainland’s easy access to nature and the mountains with his family. That runs in his blood – his father chose to settle here after what was supposed to be a brief day trip to Vancouver, “and he just fell in love with the city,” says Lawrence. “That balance of nature and Sea-to-Sky is very hard to replicate in other places. It shows why BC is such a great place to be.”
Lawrence notes the devotion and work ethic of REW’s staff members is key to its success. “As far as the leadership and the team members that I have met, I feel that there's a common passion for the brand, willingness to support our customers, as well as a sense of pride in the company,” he says.
“Lawrence brings with him a wealth of experience in the local prop tech industry, having scaled a significant software player in the multi-family space,” says Simon Bray, President of REW. “We’re looking forward to the contribution he can make to the REW growth story both in terms of innovation and leadership.”
Going forward, Lawrence wants to forge deeper connections with real estate agents, developers and home builders. He hopes to showcase everything REW has to offer, from its technology products to its content like RealTours, The Guide, newsletters and more in the Glacier Media suite of products. As he says, “REW continues to innovate their suite of products and develop new ways to connect Homeseekers with agents and New Homes. We continue to invest in our resale and New Homes offerings by adding ways to differentiate, highlight and promote listings in 2025. If you want to find the best agents, Homeseekers and projects, then REW should be your first stop.”
