I approached Kate Vukelich with an inquiry into a rental home that Woolcott had listed, only to find it wasn't available any more. It could've ended right there. But Kate graciously offered to help my wife and I find the perfect rental house. Before, I had struggled myself to get other realtors to answer my calls and book viewings. But Kate came in and handled ALL the heavy-lifting for us-- viewings, offers, negotiation, etc. In what turned out to be a HOT market, Kate managed to get us into a beautiful home: Under budget and with a move-in date that worked for us. As I finally relax on the covered patio at my new home, I can reflect and share my experience working with Sheryl Maciel from Woolcott Realty. The decision to downsize and move to be closer to our son was driven by many factors - health issues, upkeep and maintenance of a very large home that we didn’t need and retirement, to mention a few. I admit to feeling very nervous about our first meeting with Sheryl as we had not had a great experience with a different broker from a different company about 5 years ago when we started to think about downsizing. I had done my research and opted for Woolcott. 5 minutes with Sheryl convinced me that we had made the right choice. Her calm demeanour and voice of reason with what updates were needed to best show our home allowed me to focus on the needed items and not worry about the others. Her handyman recommendation of Dave was right on - he fixed everything I needed in a professional and timely manner. Designer Sue staged our home to look awesome in the listing pictures and video! It took me much longer to sort/declutter our home than we originally planned which resulted in us listing after the hectic pandemic boom but Sheryl was supportive, positive and understanding throughout. To say it was best if times and worst of times is an understatement! Sheryl presented the several offers to us in a professional and competent manner. We relied on her expertise to navigate the counteroffer or decline process. She understood our position and always listened to our concerns offering sound advice. She excelled at offering reassurance and encouragement as we waited for the right buyers. On our lowest day, she guided us through a heart-wrenching offer rescind. We were out of country when we accepted the final offer on our home and Sheryl was flexible and accommodating of our schedule and ensured that our buyers were aware of any time restraints on our end. While it would be easy to say Sheryl was just doing her job, I say she she goes above and beyond to make her clients feel valued and comfortable. She is readily accessible and responsive. Unprofessional. my agent tried to get a hold of the listing and it took three days for someone to get back then but when I called the listing agent directly lo and behold they responded to me. Very unprofessional. We were waiting. They only care to double end a deal.
