I interviewed a couple of real estate agents before listing my home. When arranging appointments I casually mentioned places I viewed during open houses and why I was selling. Christy was the only agent who came for her interview extremely well prepared. She had already viewed the strata units I mentioned and the entire interview was centered on me, what I wanted and how she could help. She toured my home and gently explained I needed to remove items so people could view and imagine themselves living here. Christy is an incredible real estate agent. She is knowledgeable about what is happening in the market, and spent so much of her valuable time going through everything with my partner and I (new home buyers). She was honest with us about what the units we were looking at were really worth, and gave us good advice on what to look for and what to avoid. When we finally found our dream place, she somehow negotiated a killer deal even when we thought that was impossible, as the price was already good and there were a number of other interested buyers. She got us in to see it early so we would have plenty of time to make offers - she was so great at scheduling viewings to give us an edge. Christy was never pushy, and is really looking out for the best for her clients, not herself. She has connections with incredible inspectors, mortgage brokers, and movers, who we were lucky to be put in touch with. She answered her phone at all hours of the night and morning, and was calm and patient with all of our questions. Excellent basically sums up my opinion of the service I had with Christy! This sale was a very bittersweet sale for me as I was selling my recently deceased parents home. Christy was compassionate, caring, very understanding, respectful and gentle. Christy has a very good knowledge of the area with lots of experience in the Seascapes area. Christy was very up to date with market trends, recent sales, recent listings. She worked tirelessly at all hours of the day for us, and could be easily reached at anytime of the day. I live out of town, yet i feel that Christy cared so much for me, my parents who she had only met a few times over the years and truly wanted the best for us. It didn’t take long to sell the home, before the first open house in fact- in 2 days! It all happened so fast that I haven’t even met her in person! (Yet!) I have never had a realtor who works as hard or is more in tune with the market than Christy She never pushed me to list or sell. We had an accepted offer in a week with subjects removed in 2 weeks. She nailed the price in a tough market and sold when neighboring homes were (and still are) not selling She just offered a lot of helpful information. She assisted me every step of the way. I wish I could recommend Christy higher than 5 stars. She toiled for years with me on a complicated real estate matter. She was always well informed, had helpful, future focussed plans, and ultimately secured a sale price above what she had projected. She then spent hours helping me with the 'boots on the ground' stuff that you just don't see very often, actually breaking a sweat on numerous occasions as we orchestrated a monumental move. Christy spent many more hours/days helping me find my new home. She set up tours of over 40 homes, I know, I was a pain!! Christy NEVER made me feel that way though, she was cheerful, picked me up with my favourite iced tea in hand, and we searched across the Lower Mainland, and out to Lions Bay, for my home. When I found the home I wanted she absolutely went to bat for me as we entered a bidding situation. I am so pleased with the price she negotiated for my new home. Over the years I’ve dealt with many real estate professionals but none could hold a candle to Christy. Her professionalism, enthusiasm and graciousness made both selling my home and purchasing a new one seamless. An example of her going above and beyond, was when I reached out to ask if she could contact a realtor in Victoria regarding viewing a condo I was very interested in. It was Friday night and Christy got back to me with the news that there had already been an offer and the Saturday showings from 10 am until five were booked solid. Christy, who was on crutches, offered to go over on the 7 AM ferry Saturday morning to view it and do a mini inspection on my behalf… Who does that! I said I was satisfied with the strata documents she had collected over the course of the evening, and the video viewings available. We agreed to regroup in the morning as it was by now 11 PM at night. The next morning she had managed to contact one of the condo strata council members and had a very positive discussion. I would make an offer, based on Christy’s advice, and by the end of Saturday I was the owner of that condo. I truly couldn’t of done it without her! I will definitely use Christy for all my future real estate dealings and highly recommend her.
