Our experience with the Neal Estate Group and specifically our realtor, Tom Hopper, has been awesome. We felt very well looked after during the process of selling our home and purchasing new.

Just finished a purchase with The Neal Estate Group and Tom Hopper. Right from the start they were very organized and supportive throughout the whole process. The pizza and free cube truck on moving day made a challenging time so much easier. Can’t recommend them enough if you are planning to buy or sell a house in the Victoria area!

Bought a home start to finish within a week. Summer Hughes was my agent. She was very transparent and negotiated a really good price as well.

I have been terrified to write this review for fear of retaliation. I will start with the facts and I will say that April Spackman was unprofessional and she attacks ad hominem, with off-topic arguements to shift optics in her favour. Her talent in sales is that she hurts people who counter her. Her reputation online is one of a bully and I wish I went with a different agency and specifically a different agent. She showed up at my condo in October 2024 with all the contracts, quickly ran through all the signatures, agreed on price, said "yea we can see where that goes" "I think that's a little high but we can always come down, but you have time so let's see, you never know..." I admit I started too high in the wrong season for such a bold ask. She did not note anything I was saying to her regarding my situation, she didn't note that I was completing a military move - the contracted military realtor commission rates through BGRS are fixed. After all the signing was done and after she had explicitly said she has worked with military before, I had to call about a month later to get the rate corrected on the contracts, that's when everything changed. This was my first home sale and I had approximately 15 or so viewings with no feedback when I messaged for the last time and expressed how unprofessional and inconsiderate April Spackmans service has been considering all we discussed at the initial meeting. I had texted and asked for feedback asking what could I do am I doing something wrong please anything helps over and over. I did not get feedback after most if any of the viewings which ended up totallying like 25 by mid March and she would say "no it's nothing you are doing it's just the way..." when I would reach out and if I wanted to hear from her I needed to initiate contact. So my final exhausted text ending in "I am so disappointed and I wanted everything in writing now" then I emailed Ron Neal's email from his agent page, this was received with a 3 paragraph "voice to text" email from April Spackman that progressively degraded into a vulgar mess and she was off topic, blaming me for a slow sale (I just wanted feedback on what can I do or what is wrong) April tactlessly included in the 2nd or 3rd paragraph of her email "oh, and thanks for emailing Ron, by the way..." as if she were a bully on the playground who found out I went to the teacher about her behaviour and I Was going to pay for it. Her email is worth a read, after I sent her email to Ron Neal's email, Nathan Barker asked for a meeting, offered to send me someone else to work with he kept saying "she is less experienced" maybe suggesting April takes liberties because she has a name for herself and doesn't care about my business where a new agent will treat all clients with a higher standard as their reputation is budding in their industry. 2) The "Staging" consult with Jamie* which ended with me following Jamies instructions the same week, only to have her tell me she can't follow up and she was so rude and the new agent informed me that "yeah, sorry about that, yea Jamie has lost us clients." I ended up paying for movers & storage from Oct - Apr w/ no staging provided, April said she can help stage and when she looked at pictures she said oh it looks great, you don't need to do anything... A little background: Condo market value as of 1 Dec 2024: $601,000.00 I priced at $650 in Oct, then down to $630(Dec-ish), then $600(Jan-Feb)-ish, then $580 - 1 March 2025 (Originally I was hoping the interest rate drops and the neighbourhood plus the amazing strata contingency, the new roof, facade, the 1010sq.ft plus all the amenities 2 full baths 2 beds 2 balconies and walkthru closet into the ensuite would be desireable but I should have waited until spring and priced lower but I'm new and never sold before and had no reasonable council, even from a paid agent.) expensive lessons learned. I lost around 21,000 on this sale when I factor in mortgage and strata fees during my tenure, I only ever asked for feedback and lost so much. Beware.

April was.fantastic to deal with; honest, direct and kind. As a.person.with a disability who rides a power wheelchair, finding accessible homes that have stowage.areas is a challenge but we found a great one and in fact, it ticked.all of our boxes! We would highly recommend April 👌 👍

After searching reviews of reputable realtors, we decided to hire Ryan Fach as our realtor to sell our home. Ryan sat down with us and explained the process of selling and after feeling comfortable with the meeting we listed our home with him. Ryan was very professional, knowledgeable, and has a wonderful personality, all the qualities you hope to get from someone who is dealing with a big part of your invested asset. We found one of Ryan's biggest attributes to be his honesty, and his ability to educate you on current market conditions. Well, what can I say? My life changed in an instant, and I needed to buy a house fast! I found Danielle by fluke, and she was just the person for me. She was there with me every step of the way. She was kind, caring, and compassionate and worked to meet all my needs. I had very specific requirements and a very short timeline. She traveled day after day to do showings and gave me honest sound advice. In the end, she made it happen! Having someone so dedicated, confident, and supportive during such a difficult time in my life was just what I needed, I wouldn't want to have done this with anyone else!! 10/10 Recommend!
