We just recently purchased a home in Calgary and Jessica, our realtor, was absolutely amazing!!! For anyone who is wanting to purchase a home in Calgary and/or thinking of selling their home, I would, without hesitation, suggest contacting Jessica! We are from BC and completely unfamiliar with Calgary. We drove to Calgary and for almost 3 weeks straight, went to view properties, day after day, sometimes viewing several properties in a day. With Calgary being such a big city and so spread out, Jessica made sure our viewings were grouped together in such a way that we were not driving from one end of the city to the other end, back and forth. She was very accommodating and not once, did we feel pressured into putting in an offer. She definitely had our best interest in mind and was not one of those realtors who just wanted to make the quick sale. She wanted to make sure we found a home that was a right fit for us and one that we would feel happy and comfortable living in. She was patient, answered any and every inquiry/question we had. Throughout this entire process, she kept in mind our budget, as well as our requirements in a home. Jessica was always very professional, yet down to earth and very easy to communicate with. Not knowing much about the home purchasing process in Alberta, Jessica explained and walked us through everything. She was very transparent, which we really liked and even went above and beyond in terms of recommending a Home Inspector, as well as a Lawyer and not leaving it up to us to fend for ourselves. Our success in finally finding a home in Calgary, in an unfamiliar city, would not have been possible had it not been for Jessica’s hard work, attention to detail and above all, putting our best interest first. Before choosing a real estate agent, I conducted some research to see who would be the best choice and how they promote their listings. The Ross Pavl Elite Group stood out as the best S.W. Calgary (Aspen / Strathconna / Springbank) has to offer: their social media presence was strong, and I could tell they put a lot of work into their listings.
We met with Ross at our home. He spent over an hour answering our questions, providing objective data regarding how many homes they sell, how long their listings typically stay on the market, etc... Shauna and the Ross Pavl platform were excellent and we are happy that we made the choice to go with them.
Unfortunately, we had a rough start in selling our home. We chose a realtor to represent us that did a horrendous job, and after ~17 days we parted ways. Thankfully the market was still bubbly when we were selling, so we were still able to go back to market with a strong price, but we recognized that the first realtor negatively impacted our ability to sell at a premium, and really put us on the back foot. After interviewing 3 realtors, we went with Shauna specifically because of the marketing platform as a primary consideration. Secondary to that was Shauna, who indicated she would be able to manage our expectations and requests.
Shauna was always quick to respond to texts/emails/phone calls and never complained about the demands that we put on her (unlike the first realtor). We felt as though Shauna always had our best interests at heart and we did not feel as though she wasn't giving the process her all.
Ultimately, Shauna's hard work and the Ross Pavl platform paid off.
There are too many realtors out there to name, so choosing the right one for each individual can be hard. I can confidently say that Shauna is the right realtor for high-demand clients as she is able to maintain her professionalism and provide feedback/advice/context as necessary.
