Two major projects are set to reshape the area dramatically in the coming years: the Broadway Plan and a potential Hastings SkyTrain line. As for the former, Barret thinks that, “eventually the Broadway plan will make an impact on providing more housing in what has got to be the most convenient and highly sought after and livable locations in Metro Vancouver.” Plans are currently in place to build dense developments at VCC-Clark and the future Mount Pleasant stations as a result.
For the latter, Barrett believes, “If and when this happens, we would see almost immediate uptake by the development community and an increased level of demand from a broader spectrum of the public.” That is, expect to see many more developments of all kinds.
People are proud to be from East Van, and it’s not hard to see why. With some careful preparation and patience, you too could soon be bragging about your home here.

“East Van has a DNA that speaks to a diverse set of humans, and the development trajectory of the various submarkets will only serve to enhance that desirability and authenticity.

Frame
Frame
Frame by Peterson is a strata complex coming to East Van at Kingsway and Earles St., a short walk from the 29th Avenue SkyTrain station. It will allow residents a connected lifestyle to both their neighbours and the area. Frame will overlook a community plaza, while shops, restaurants and more are right next door, as are supermarkets including T&T and Save-On-Foods.
These two ten-story concrete towers on top of a podium feature 229 one-, two- and three-bedroom units from 515 – 1,127 sq. ft.
“Frame is located in a ‘if you know, you know’ gem of a neighbourhood. The majority of our Frame homeowners have come from within a few blocks of the site; more so than any community I've ever brought to market. It's amazing,” says Barrett Sprowson, Vice President of Sales and Project Marketing at Peterson.
The interiors will have wide-plank laminate flooring, kitchens with a Fulgor Milano appliance package including a fully-integrated refrigerator and a gas cooktop. Engineered stone countertops will be durable and easy to clean, while full-height backsplashes will help keep any messes contained, too.
Community amenities include a common kitchen, multimedia room, bicycle storage, a BBQ area, children’s play space and more, plus a rooftop garden.
Frame is expected to arrive in 2026 and is selling now.
