Aaron Eccles
A former journalist, Aaron has since worked on content creation and strategy for brands including the BBC, Airbnb and Wealthsimple.
Aaron was born and raised in Calgary to parents who were born and raised in BC. As a result, he grew up camping in the mountains most weekends, even when it was too cold for any sane person to attempt camping. Luckily this didn't permanently destroy his love for the outdoors.
Professionally, Aaron studied journalism in Vancouver before starting out as a junior reporter at CBC Radio. After a move to the UK, he spent seven years at the BBC before shifting into the world of content and marketing. After a stint in the charity sector, Aaron found his way to Airbnb, where he combined his love of travel with his passion for storytelling.
Aaron joined REW as Director of Content in 2023 after returning to live in Vancouver with his husband and Springer Spaniel. He still loves the outdoors but hasn't attempted winter camping again just yet.
