Listed for a whopping $46.8 million, this three-lot combination in Shaughnessy’s most exclusive enclave tops the national chart

Check out this listing for Canada’s current most expensive property – a combination of three large lots on Tecumseh Avenue, which leads onto The Crescent, arguably Vancouver’s most prestigious address.

One of the lots has a beautifully restored, five-bedroom, 10,000-plus-square-foot house with a grand porte-cochère, amazing stained-glass windows, mahogany staircase, contemporary kitchen and lovely gardens.

Even though the combined lot size of 20,630 square feet doesn’t come close to that of Vancouver’s now-second-most expensive listing, the property is on the market for $46.8 million – making it Canada’s current priciest home, according to research by Point2Homes.

The city’s previous most expensive listing, which we featured in a recent photo gallery, is now ranked as Canada’s third-priciest property. Taking second spot is a privately listed West Vancouver mansion with 150 feet of waterfront, being marketed by luxury agent Malcolm Hasman at $42 million.

The rankings show that Metro Vancouver is home to 13 of the country’s 15 most expensive listings, with all of the top 15 listed above $20 million (#15 is another recent Photo Gallery featured listing).

Outside of Metro Vancouver, only a $30m home in Calgary and a $25 million property on Lake Joseph in Ontario broke into the top 10.
