The season of giving is upon us.
To mark the start of the holiday season, Grosvenor Americas invites everyone to share in the spirit of Christmas with its series of 12 all-ages Holidays On The Block events at its Brentwood Development site, located at 2150 Alpha Avenue, Burnaby.
Starting Thursday, December 9th, join Grosvenor Americas for fun-filled festivities for everyone in your family. Holidays On The Block features a fleet of some of Vancouver’s best food trucks, local vendors, artisans and entertainers. Bring the children as the jolly old elf Santa Claus himself will be there during the al-fresco celebrations.

Some of the food trucks will include Shameless Buns, Cin City Donuts, Crack On, BeaverTails and more. You can also pick up gifts for those on your Christmas list, from local artisans and craftspeople, such as Our Little Soap Co., AMLiora Designs, Home of West Candle Co., and many more.
A company with more than six decades in B.C., Marc Josephson, Senior Vice President of Development, Grosvenor Americas, says the company has a long history of philanthropy through fostering connections and supporting organizations and causes in the communities in which they build.

“At all levels of our company, there is a mandate to create a positive social impact in communities where we have projects,” says Josephson. “Several years ago, we saw a great opportunity to do something special with our Brentwood Development site. Instead of leaving the land under the barricade, we decided to do something exciting for everyone in Brentwood.”
Throughout the pandemic, the developer has been hosting several Shop the Block musical festivals, which have included Farmers Markets, food trucks, local vendors and artisans and pop-up art installations.

“Collectively, we have had more than 30,000 people come through the site over the past two summers,” says Josephson. “Not only are these celebrations fun, but they are also contributing to a sense of community … we are in this for the long haul; fostering that sense of community in all of our master-planned communities is very important.”
Holidays on the Block is a collaboration with the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival and BC Shop Local initiatives.
Don’t forget your cell phones or cameras to snap Instagram-worthy photos or selfies of you, your family or your four-legged pets with Santa. Then, enjoy a rotating lineup of live music and entertainment on the community stage or simply take in the lights while strolling the site.
