Fleetwood Tynehead is a neighbourhood in the northeast portion of Surrey with a lengthy history. It is named after Lance Corporal Arthur Thomas Fleetwood, who died during World War I. The Fleetwood Community Association was formed in 1923, and the original Fleetwood Community Hall was built around a decade later. The hall has since become a focal point for activities in the community.

The community also hosts a number of beautiful green spaces, including Fleetwood Park. Residents can take a stroll through the park's nature trails, walking trails, and gardens. Fleetwood Tynehead Transportation
Translink offers numerous bus services to the Fleetwood Tynehead area. The quickest way for transit riders to commute to other parts of the Greater Vancouver area is to jump on the SkyTrain at the King George Station north of East Newton in the Johnston Heights neighbourhood. The SkyTrain takes riders all over Downtown Vancouver and offers connections to buses to take riders to outlying suburbs, such as North Vancouver and Burnaby. Drivers can also take Highway 99 or Fraser Highway for quick access to Downtown.
