As a first time home buyer, it was a fairly daunting experience. But Sylvia was just an absolute pleasure to work with. My wife and I had tons of questions and Sylvia was extremely patient and very thorough in helping us with it all. She listened keenly to what our needs are, showed us properties that matched our needs and then some more to help us with a comparative analysis of the market. By the time we settled on one, as buyers we were very confident with our purchase. After purchasing the home she stayed in touch with updates regarding the property market near my home, basically going above and beyond in every possible way. I could not have asked for a better realtor. I found Sylvia at an open house after a few months of my wife and I trying to do the condo search on our own. She's very knowledgeable and honest about the places we viewed, and didn't shy away from telling us any deficiencies with the unit. Probably the best part of my experience was seeing Sylvia's negotiation skills. I had submitted offers on 4 places before I finally got one that was accepted, but before each one we would have a chat to come up with a strategy (and also helped come up with price-points when I wasn't sure). All of the offers I lost were bidding-war type situations, of which it was hard to compete in this city. My winning offer avoided this situation because Sylvia was able to get me a sneak peek of the condo the day after it was listed (it was not even on REW at this point). After having an accepted offer the next day, I came back to scope out the open house on the weekend and it was packed. So definitely avoided another multiple offer situation there. Sylvia went above and beyond, so I can't recommend her enough. Just to give an example, after finding some painters for my new place, Sylvia suggested that she give them a call too. She was able to lower the price by 15% by contacting one of her acquaintances. Due to all her hard work, we'll definitely be looking for Sylvia again the next time we decide to move.

Sylvia was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was very helpful in guiding and educating us through the process of purchasing a rental property. She was patient and understanding with us. I had used Sylvia Nguyen as my agent to buy my first condo. When I was looking for condo I did canvas different realtor, but I chose to go with Sylvia. Compared to others, I felt that with Sylvia she would understand and know her client to best help them find what they need and what works best for them. She is very professional and knowledgeable and uses her resources well. I am very glad I went with Sylvia as she went over and beyond her duties to help me find and purchase my place.

We cannot say enough about having Sylvia as our realtor for the recent sale of our home. She worked meticulously from the beginning getting a professional photographer and creating both a brochure and hundreds of postcards which she distributed around our neighborhood and surrounding area, she even knocked on doors talking to residents about the upcoming listing of our property. Her open houses were very well planned and made sure that everything was warm and welcoming for prospective clients whom she spent time with upon their visit(s). Sylvia even had suggestions for rental suite ideas as many new buyers in the market for housing these days depend on that. At a time when real estate sales were starting to slow and seeing housing prices starting to decrease, Sylvia was able to bring us an offer we accepted within two weeks of listing. In addition to all of this, we are looking to purchase a new home in the Salmon Arm area and Sylvia utilized her network of contacts to recommend several realtors in that area to which we could pick from going above and beyond the sale of our home. Sylvia Nguyen is a professional in every sense of the word. My mother had the pleasure of having her help sell her home. Since the market for detached homes has slowed down considerably we were expecting the house to be listed for awhile, however to our pleasant surprise Sylvia was able to close a deal in less than two weeks at the price my mother was seeking. She did this with her undeniable passion for the industry and devotion to her clients. She is very patient, genuine, caring, and hard working realtor who has very good knowledge in the housing market in the Metro Vancouver area. As a buyer, she helped me to land on a very good purchase deal after intensive search in a very busy housing market.
