Growing up on the North Shore has given Haneef a lifetime's insight into Vancouver's growth especially since Expo in 1986 which put the West Coast city firmly on the world's radar. Having first-hand experience of how the city has adapted to a growing population gives him an advantage when it comes to real estate negotiations and advising his clients.

He manages his time at Virani's North Shore office - which happens to be the highest commercial premises in Metro Vancouver with commanding views of the city - ensuring all their North and West Vancouver clients have easy accessibility to him.

Away from real estate, Haneef believes in giving back to the city which he has called home since 1976. He is very much involved with many of Vancouver's charities and in particular he was instrumental in establishing Virani's sponsorship of the Special Olympics BC North Shore Walkathon which is held each year at Ambleside Park, as well as active involvement in donating to BC Children's Hospital - with whom he has a special interest as both his sons were born there.

A family man at heart, Haneef brings his natural enthusiasm to the many sports that his sons are involved with including tennis, basketball and - with the whole family being avid English Football supporters - soccer. Add to the mix, a love of travel and automobiles, and any spare time that Haneef may have, is certainly put to good use.

It has been a year since Karim Virani and his team sold the apartment for me in Yaletown, Vancouver. I was referred to them by a friend. From the start they were extremely professional and yet kind in their interactions. The sale was part of a divorce proceeding and the fact that my ex-spouse had his own agent did not deter Karim from helping me out. It was evident from the start that my ex-spouse's realtor would not be doing much to sell the apartment and the fact that Karim and his team would only get half the commission did not deter them. Kara was always efficient and patient. Even when there was an issue of concern raised by the property management team about the new buyers, Kara resolved it right away. They were always patient with me while I vented and never once seemed annoyed or impatient. Karim always gave me sound advice about the offers that came in. Knowing it was part of a divorce proceeding the initial offers were way below market value. Karim ensured I waited till the right offer came along. Even after the apartment was sold Karim personally called me up to make sure everything was in place. My trust in their team was never misplaced and their commitment to their clients is flawless. We purchased a new 2br from Shawn Safarkhah at Virani (listing agents). His key management skills were absolutely deplorable. He provided a single key to the unit, despite the contract requiring two sets, so we had to share for a week until we got our lock replaced. A week later, Shawn provided an additional key (which was now useless), as well as a new key for the built-in safe in our unit. Turns out, he provided the wrong key to the safe. My sales agent & I went to great lengths to provide him with instructions for obtaining a replacement key, but he/seller was uninterested in helping. After weeks of trying to get him to fulfill his contractual obligation to provide us with a key, he flat out refused. I had to go to expense of notarizing a form, buying a replacement key, and having it shipped to me. Shame on Shawn for being this awful at his job, and shame on Virani for associating with him. I would certainly *never* sell with Virani, and would think twice about purchasing from a Virani agent in the future.

Really poor. Actually average for Vancouver. Which objectively is really poor. Agent couldn't / wouldn't give me any coherent answers about his own listing. Scheduling a viewing was about as difficult as trying to hitch hike on a space shuttle. Tried to "sell" me on deficiencies during the viewing. You guys are selling shelter. Its a necessity. People will buy from you regardless. You don't have to be so shady to do it. Try it. You'll continue to make heaps of money and maybe even EARN some respect in the process.

The experience of working with Virani Real Estate advisors has been miles above my expectations, and a far superior experience compared to any other realty company I have worked with. They put a tremendous effort in to selling my home. They did a fantastic job in marketing it, in generating interest, and consistently following up with interested parties. Everything about their practices were far above my already very high standards. The contracts they write are so detailed and considerate for their clients that I felt very well taken care of. When it came to searching for a home, they were very patient with me, I am the type that like to look at many many homes before I made my selection so that I could feel confident when I made my choice. They never made me feel like a bother - in fact they encouraged me in my process, and also suggested additional homes to view. When it came to making offers they were very knowledgable in market values and assessments and exactly what the market was doing so we could make the most savvy offers. I would like to add that we have four young children, so house selling and house hunting is a daunting endeavour. Both Haneef and Shawn were absolute angels. They were patient with working around nap times and as we trudged all these youngsters in and out of car seats from viewing after viewing. Anyone with children who are going to be going through a house selling or buying should be aware that not only do you get superior service and expertise with Virani, but they also make you feel at ease and are so good with children and families it really did make a stressful situation into a pleasure. Not to mention I know they got us the best offer for our house, and got us a great price on the house we are moving into! I can not say enough about both Shawn and Haneef!
