My partner and I had an absolutely fantastic experience working with Amy. We first met her and her business partner Danielle early in our home search and were immediately impressed by how warm, knowledgeable, and professional they both were. As first-time home buyers, we had a lot of questions, and Amy was there for us every step of the way. She was incredibly thorough in walking us through the process, always responsive to our inquiries, and proactive in sending us listings that aligned with our needs. When we first met Amy and Danielle, Amy informed us that she was going on vacation for a few weeks. She assured us we were in good hands, and the two of them work flawlessly as a team. She also joked that my partner and I were going to submit an offer before she had returned - which actually ended up being true! Upon her return, we were at the stage of subject removal and deficiency walkthroughs, and she seamlessly picked up where she left off. She was also responsive on vacation, although we encouraged her not to be! Given how smoothly everything went, I think that is a strong testimony of her organizational skills as a realtor. Amy helped me purchase my first home. I was worried about being a first-time home buyer in the crazy market during the COVID-19 pandemic but Amy helped guide me through the ins and outs of the process. She has great knowledge about the areas of Vancouver that I was interested in and provided a lot of insight on the types of properties that would suit my needs. I can't say enough good things about Amy. We were first time buyers. She helped us buy a condo in a very competitive market and we absolutely love our home and stayed within budget. Amy is personable, knows the market and has integrity. She never pressured us, was always honest and we wholeheartedly trust her. She is a professional and very experienced. She wants her clients to buy the property that they want, but will also be honest, pointing out issues with buildings when she sees them. She comprehensively reviewed strata documents on multiple properties for us, making sure we knew about upcoming expenses and pointing out foreseeable issues that we would have missed. She also did an extensive analysis to get our bank to agree to a 24 hour turn around on approving a property for financing. We shopped around for our mortgage and when the brokers received the property analysis, they told me that this isn't standard for a realtor to take on this work for a client and that we were very lucky! In a market where everyone has decided to become a realtor, it's hard to find one that isn't just in it for money. Amy was recommended to us by a friend, so we were lucky. I wanted to write this review to help others. Amy is truly a wonderful person and also an exceptional realtor. I trusted them because we share similar values in finding a quality home in Vancouver, such as the property's history, the diligence of the strata, the surrounding community and other intangibles. They're a breath of fresh air when the real estate market in the Lower Mainland is so highly commoditized. I don't need a realtor to have a Hollywood-esque billboard, or to show up in a luxury car. I want to deal with people I could relate with, for example they recommended a home inspector who they hired themselves to inspect their own homes. They covered the expense of a house cleaning before I took possession, and their followups after I've moved in for months was a really warm touch. They're here to build a relationship, not just a commission. There's looking for property, and there's looking for a home. If you want a more wholistic experience I would recommend Amy and the Mary Cleaver to anyone.
