Emma Whittington is the amazing realtor who helped us find our dream home in March 2023! She is professional yet warm and friendly and has terrific communication skills. She really understood what we said was important to have and not have in a home. We contacted Emma before we moved out of our home in Nova Scotia in June of 2022, and maintained contact as we made our way across Canada. We followed the housing market in Courtenay and kept in touch as we became more clear on what we had to have in our new home and the things that weren't important. Just before we arrived on the Island we had the opportunity to house-sit for 6 months which allowed us to take advantage of a further drop in prices. In January 2023 we 'got serious' about finding a home. Emma seemed to have an endless supply of patience, showing us house after house, mentally making notes of what we liked and what we could do without, and when we began to sound discouraged she was quick to reassure us the market was picking up and more listings were coming in each week. She told us several times, "I don't want you to 'settle', we have to find the house that is meant for you."
