Derek and his small‑but‑mighty team came in with the kind of focus usually reserved for people defusing something important. They sold our house in eight days, and in a market uncertain enough to come with caution tape. Not “close enough,” not “pretty good,” but the actual number we were hoping for. As an ex‑cop turned realtor, Derek brings a calm, observant energy that makes you feel like everything is under control, even when the market is behaving like a witness who keeps changing their story mid‑sentence. It’s unclear whether he runs on caffeine or leftover cop instincts, but whatever the fuel source is, it’s efficient. His marketing strategy? All of them. Every tool, every angle, every trick in the book, plus a few he probably wrote himself. When a lowball offer rolled in, Derek handled it like someone who’s been offered worse deals in parking lots at 2 a.m. No drama, no panic. Just a polite, decisive shutdown that made us feel very grateful he was on our side. If you want a realtor who’s sharp, fast, strategic, and quietly competitive in a way that benefits you, Derek is your guy. If you want someone who’ll let you accept a terrible offer just to “get it over with,” you’ll have to look elsewhere. He won’t let you make that kind of life choice. Would we work with him again: absolutely. Would we play poker against him: absolutely not.

Not without experience in buying and selling as a homeowner, I approached Derek because he came highly recommended by another realtor and because he covered a broad catchment area. We were impressed by his energy and willing commitment to us as sellers. He and his staff streamlined the process: viewings and paperwork to a comparatively effortless, rapid and most satisfying conclusion. Thankyou, Derek.

As first time homebuyers , we had very little knowledge of the home buying process and were a little worried about our budget and finding what we wanted, but Derek and his awesome assistant Britt have made this easy and simplified for us every step of the way .Derek is an awesome dude, he’s honest , personable and always ready to work with you especially outside of your normal work hours which is a life saver for a young family ! you cannot go wrong choosing Derek as your realtor because he will work hard at finding a place that feels like home for you and his partners make sure your covered in the other processes involved with buying a home !
