Wow! Where do I start when it came to Raman and Team Cook of Stonehaus Realty. I am first time home buyer and was looking for a property for close to one year. When I talked to Raman about 2 months ago for the first he right away understood the challenges along with the daunting task ahead of us in the currently Lower Mainland Market. Whether you're looking for a relator or a new BFF, Mike Cook is your guy. We first met Mike coincidentally at a open house that spiked our interest. We had been looking to upsize out of our condo and looking into a house for quite sometime... the stars truly aligned when meeting Mike. Not your typical relator at all. Professional, yes. Pushy... not in the least bit (although, I'm now convinced he saves his reserves for smooth talking his way into a "full capacity" house showing or befriending the selling real estate agent). BFF material, definitely! Ever since day one, Mike has always had our best interest! The housing market is currently a war zone, and Mike went to battle every day... all while having the biggest smile on his face! After months of showings upon showings (and trust me when I say, we were not easy to please clients.. we certainly put him to work), Offers being made, yet not selected, and crazy housing market inflation, Mike was there to cheer us up with a coffee date and always had insightful words of encouragement. We were also probably the most "bi-polar" clients he has ever had to work for and he didn't let this faze him for a second. Always up for the task of building up weekly portfolios of listings that met our ever changing requirements. Personally taking us on 8 hour long weekend housing tours, and always picking up the phone or responding to a text message inquiry we had... we knew we could always rely on Mike! Mike is full of knowledge, having previously been in construction. This knowledge certainly came in handy when (amongst one of our ever changing list of requirements) we were looking at possibly buying an older, run down house to flip. Right away when talking to Mike, you will notice how diverse he is in all aspects of real estate as well as construction, zoning/ developments, and even will be honest with you when he knows something is over priced and wouldn't make a great investment. His honesty and loyalty to his clients is invaluable and what I know is the foundation to his long lasting relationships with his clients. Mike made miracles happen when we finally did manage to purchase our dream home. Representing us, while we had prior commitments and couldn't be present during pre sale release, Mike pulled all the stops using his prince charming smile to secure our dream corner unit townhome that already had the interest of multiple people. This would never have happened without Mikes resilience and commitment to making us happy. Best of all... he genuinely was so excited for us. Making sure he was present while we dropped off our instalment payment, and insisting on tagging along with us while we did multiple walk throughs of the show home to gain inspiration, and even taking us out for dinner to celebrate, he was and continues to be ecstatic for us and our new purchase. Just like a best friend should! We certainly will be keeping in touch with Mike and will look no further when needing a realtor again in the future!
