A recent article in The Star profiled four Vancouver neighbourhoods that were on the rise, three of which are Downtown. The one exception was South Slope (or South Hill), around Fraser and 41st.
The three Downtown neighbourhoods are Chinatown, Crosstown and Hastings Sunrise. The Star's Lola Augustine Brown argues they show you a hidden, vibrant side to the city, one you wouldn't see if you stuck to the well-trodden paths.
But we're keen to know what you think? Do you agree, or does the article overlook other developing areas? And is this for the better? After all, change (gentrification?) is not always a good thing.
