Vancouver has again been ranked North America's most livable city and third in the world, according to a survey of 140 cities by the Economist Intelligence Unit released August 19.
Just like last year, Vancouver was beaten out by only Melbourne, Australia and Vienna, Austria.
Toronto was again ranked fourth globally and Calgary was ranked joint fifth, along with Adelaide, Australia.
The top 10 is almost a carbon copy of last year's rankings, aside from Adelaide being ranked joint fifth this year, up from sixth place last year.
With Sydney ranked seventh and Perth ninth, Australia had the strongest presence in the top 10 at four cities, with Canada second-most represented at three cities.

The least livable city of the 140 cities ranked was Damascus in Syria, which is also a repeat of 2013.
