If you're a real estate nut, you can't pass up any opportunity to poke around in other people's homes. Especially when those people have poured a ton of love and creativity into restoring historical features and mixing in modern style.
So save Sunday June 2, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.for The Vancouver Heritage Foundation's Heritage House Tour. This year the self-guided tour features 12 unique and lovely old houses that have been spiffed up with varying degrees of historical accuracy.
Your ticket is your map and your program, and it takes you deep into the stories of the houses and the neighbourhoods you're touring. The tour is also a chance to talk with renovation experts and master gardeners.
Grandview is a special focus this year as the tour includes five homes within walking distance of each other. But other neighbourhoods, both east and west side, are represented too.
And while pictures can't do the tour full justice, here are some quick looks at the homes on the 11th Annual Heritage House Tour in Vancouver.
