With the launch of the annual Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) comes the contest that we at REW.ca get most excited about each year – the PNE Prize Home Lottery.
This year’s offering is a stunning, contemporary, two-level, 3,200-square-foot home with three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a lot of luxury.
“The Prize Home is one of the most eagerly anticipated traditions of The Fair at the PNE and this year’s is no exception,” said Mike McDaniel, president and CEO of the PNE.
“This year’s home is modern, stylish and perfect for spending time with family and friends. We’re also thrilled to be including in our prize package a lake view lot in the Naramata Benchlands – one of the most spectacular settings in BC – where the home will be relocated to after this year’s Fair.”
This home includes a spectacular kitchen with a state-of-the-art wine storage in the open-concept dining area. The living space flows onto a spacious patio including a hot tub, making it an ideal home for entertaining or simply relaxing with the family. The home comes complete with top-of-the-line furnishing and appliances, a natural gas BBQ, a personal sports lounge and a wellness room equipped with exercise equipment and a sauna.
So the big question: how much is all that worth, including the Naramata Bench lot? Well, the 2016 Grand Prize Home Package is valued at more than $1.4 million.

Behind all the luxury and fabulous finishings, though, a great deal of thought has been put to sustainable design. Designed by Westbank BC’s Freeport Industries, the 2016 PNE Prize Home is made using energy-efficient and environmentally sensitive materials.
“Working with the PNE and the Prize Home Lottery is such an honour, given its rich history,” said Todd Venier, president of Freeport Industries. “Our aim when designing this house was to really showcase the incredible ways a home can be energy efficient while not sacrificing anything in terms of aesthetics or practicality.”
He added, “This home, combined with the stunning location at the Naramata Benchlands, makes it a dream for any family.”
