As one of the leading figures in Italian design, award-winning architect Piero Lissoni was invited to collaborate with Oakridge Park on its tallest tower rising to 42-storeys – Oakridge x Lissoni.
“Imagining a domestic homescape overlooking Vancouver’s English Bay becomes an opportunity to tell a story through objects, colours, atmospheres, lights, and materials, narrating the ways in which different cultures, geographies, and histories intermingle,” says Piero Lissoni, founder of Lissoni & Partners architecture.
Soaring 42 storeys in Vancouver’s cityscape, Oakridge x Lissoni is the tallest residential tower in Oakridge Park, with the upper 29-41 storeys dedicated to expansive Palazzi estate homes. Lissoni’s design approach for the lobby, building amenities, rooftop garden and residences, which range from studios up to three-bedroom penthouses, was inspired by the connection to the Pacific Northwest’s majestic natural beauty.
Bathed in natural light, the Italian finishes and furniture harmonize beautifully with local materials, surfaces and textures, to provide exquisite comfort while framing the stunning views enjoyed by each of the homes.
“Every project is a meeting place of people who work together, driven by a shared intention, and yet becomes possible only when the alchemy of a common vision takes shape between colleagues, as was the case when I met with the Oakridge Park design team,” says Lissoni. “The Oakridge Park project came into being as a multicultural experiment, the construction of a future in which living spaces, both individual and shared, are born of the intertwining of different languages, the languages of those who designed them and those who will live there. And it is in this that I find the history of my country, it is here that I am able to fulfill it.”

The interiors of Oakridge x Lissoni feature striking dark tones, with natural light flooding its lofty spaces through expansive glass windows. An emphasis on dark oak millwork, engineered oak wood flooring, dark natural stone, and bespoke finishes such as custom-designed glass closets all further enhance the elegance of the residences.
