The truth is that real estate isn’t about property. It’s about people.
When you’re looking to buy a new home, chances are you want a realtor who really knows the area. Well if you’re after a home in BC’s Lower Mainland, look no further than Kristina Legault who has called at least a half dozen neighbourhoods home over the years. We get to know this superstar realtor in Season One of RealTours, when she tours host Stephen Tadgh around her adopted home of Chilliwack.
The Road to the Wack
Born in Richmond, with stops in Kitsilano, Burnaby, Port Moody, Surrey, Cloverdale and Langley along the way, you might wonder how Legault ended up in her current home of Chilliwack.
After 20 years working in accounting and finance for global companies, Legault moved into the world of real estate. When an opportunity to open a Century 21 satellite office in Chilliwack’s trendy District 1881 presented itself, she jumped at the chance and hasn’t looked back.
“ ”
I think the best part about living in Chilliwack is the sense of calm it provides to your daily life. It's just nice to live somewhere you feel at ease. It's so beautiful and people are friendly, and you don't have to worry about the same things you usually do. It gives you a sense of being calm and relaxed.
The Client, the Client, the Client.
When Legault talks about Chilliwack, she paints a picture of a tight-knit community where residents look out for one another. She’s taken that same philosophy for her business, where her focus is on building long-term relationships with clients.
"The way I base my business is community,” she says. “It's focused on the client, on the person, what their needs are, where they need to move, what's going to go with their lifestyle. And being down here [in District 1881], we get to be part of a new part of the city. We get to meet people and be a part of that. It's really been a nice place to work."
