Lower Lonsdale is a waterfront neighbourhood of North Vancouver bordering the Vancouver Harbour. The neighbourhood was part of the original North Vancouver town site and has quick and easy access to Downtown Vancouver via the Seabus from the Lonsdale Quay Market.
Lower Lonsdale real estate offers a few 'character' homes, but most of the area's real estate consists of apartment and townhouse developments. The dense number of apartments has drawn much of the North Shore's younger population to live in the area.
Lower Lonsdale is some of the most affordable housing in the area. Prices for homes range from $219,000 to $2,669,900, with a median of $498,950. Sales of condos and townhouses have skyrocketed in the past few years as the City of North Vancouver takes on the task of urbanizing the area with easier waterfront access and more attached housing developments.
