The Valley saw a notable increase in housing inventory last month, with a growing demand for residential properties

The Fraser Valley saw another active month of real estate sales, with single-family home sales increasing by 20.7% from April.

There were 2,417 homes sold in the Valley in May, which represents a 6.2% decrease from May of last year and a 21.5% increase compared to April. Of the properties sold, 620 were townhouses and 609 were condos, continuing the 10-month trend of attached home sales surpassing that of detached homes in the area.

"The further we get into this year's market, the less 2016 looks like an anomaly in terms of demand and sales activity. If it wasn't clear before, the Fraser Valley is now a prime, highly sought-after destination for home owners of all types," said Gopal Sahota, Board President.
