Highgate Village is a relatively new neighbourhood in east Burnaby named after a new residential and retail development in the area. The main intersection in Highgate Village is Kingsway and Salisbury Avenue and access to public transit is excellent.

Highgate Village is a relatively new neighbourhood in east Burnaby named after a new residential and retail development in the area. The main intersection in Highgate Village is Kingsway and Salisbury Avenue and access to public transit is excellent.

Highgate Village is anchored by the Highgate Village Mall, which has a Save-On-Foods, Shoppers Drug Mart, coffee shops, financial institutions, a yoga centre, and medical and dental centres. There are a number of new high-rise apartment buildings and condos in the neighbourhood and areas around the Mall are being redeveloped further, for more apartments and condos.

Highgate is populated mostly by families as it is located close to parks, schools, a new public library, central Burnaby, and New Westminster. As such, the real estate market is constantly growing and mainly consists of a mix of new high-rise apartments, townhouses, and low-rise apartment buildings.
