Still, that experience of purchasing her first home sparked something in Jenny – it motivated her to guide her friends through the home-buying process and ignited her passion for real estate. Growing up in a family where hard work was the norm – her father ran his own business and put in long hours. Jenny learned early on the importance of perseverance and commitment. “There was never a reason to stop,” she recalls. “You’d achieve one project, reach a goal and then keep growing forward because there’s always more potential to uncover.”

Jenny’s relentless drive and passion for growth have always set her apart. After earning her Managing Broker license in 2014 – a move fueled by her love of learning and her “real estate nerd” spirit – she never imagined she’d one day open her own brokerage. She saw herself as a dedicated, hyperlocal agent in North Burnaby, building a reputation as a trusted expert in her community and with multi-family developers.
But when Oakwyn Realty's leadership team approached her with the opportunity to launch a franchise branch in North Burnaby, Jenny didn’t hesitate. “I knew it would be a new challenge and give me a new ‘why’,” she reflects. “It’s the best decision I’ve ever made. I truly feel called to be a leader in my community.”
For Jenny, opening her own office was more than a business milestone – it was the fulfillment of a childhood dream. She had always imagined herself cutting a giant red ribbon with oversized scissors, marking the start of something meaningful. That vision became reality on June 15th, 2022, when Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley joined her for the grand opening celebration. Over 300 people including friends, peers and community leaders filled the space, spilling out onto the sidewalk and street as a DJ set the tone for the festivities. “My favourite moment was cutting the ribbon with the Mayor and the franchisors,” Jenny recalls, a symbol of not just a new office, but a new era of leadership and community impact.
