After crazed sales centre opening day, another attention-grabbing marketing push for much-hyped central Surrey units

Following a frenzy of sales on its opening day in April, in which 300 units were sold, the team marketing the 406-unit Evolve tower in Surrey has come up with another attention-grabbing ploy to shift the final units.

Twenty buyers purchasing Evolve condos in May will get the choice of either a new 2015 Nissan Micra in their parking spot, or $10,000 in cash stashed away in their storage locker.

“Smart investors understand the impact on resale value and coupled with the reduction of rental income without storage or parking that this can equate to thousands of dollars in lost revenue”, said Bill Morrison, President of Macdonald Realty Platinum Project Marketing.

“That’s why every home at Evolve comes with parking and storage, and now that purchasers have the choice of including a car or cash when they buy at Evolve, we expect the response to be more intense than when we first opened.”

The offer is open to just 20 buyers of Evolve units. Kiran Rai,marketing director of Evolve, told REW.ca that there has so far been around a 50 per cent take-up of the offer. Rai added that the previous limited offer of mortgage payments as low as $1 a day for the first year had now expired.

Evolve’s 406 suites range from micro-condos of 316 square feet to units of 1,294 square feet, and floorplans include studios, one bedrooms, two bedrooms, two bedroom plus dens, townhome lofts and penthouses. Of the 406 units, 300 are priced below $250,000.

Evolve is the second of six towers to be built in the West Village by WestStone Properties, part of the largest piece of connected development land in Surrey. Over the next seven years, there will be 2,800 homes built in West Village, connecting all residents to Surrey City Centre, offering access to transit, grocery stores, education institutions and culture, arts, recreational facilities and parkland.
