Not with Westland’s Core – Right across from City Hall, the 50-storey Core will be the second tallest tower in the epi-centre of this coveted metropolis showcasing advanced integrated technology.

“We really wanted our project to advance technology currently available for homeowners in our region. We wanted to integrate technology that would redefine condo living” says Austin Zhang, Managing Director, Westland. “We can’t reveal too much yet, but the technology we are using will allow for expandable dining and entertaining space, and a bed that will disappear.”

Conceived by multiple award-winning Chris Dikeakos Architects, Core is set to become a landmark in this Surrey City Centre, which is morphing into the Lower Mainland’s future second downtown.

“The Core project design concept is based on a lush building silhouette with multiple levels of green roofs to illuminate Surrey’s skyline,” says Nadia Said, Principal, Chris Dikeakos Architects Inc. “The goal is to provide the residents with the opportunity to connect with the outdoors amidst a dense urban core. The project is also designed with the residents’ equitable access to the City Centre views in mind..”

Perfectly positioned less than a minute's walk away from the SkyTrain, Core will feature 429 residences, from studios up to three bedrooms, of thoughtfully designed homes.

“Surrey deserves the best. This is what we are providing with our homes,” says Zhang. “We truly believe we have the best location. This is Westland’s first project in Surrey, and we’re putting our best foot forward here, and we plan to continue our investment in the city of Surrey over several projects in the upcoming years.”

This walkable, transit-friendly community is Surrey’s developing wellness and technology hub, close to Surrey Memorial Hospital. Among its highlights are Holland Park, Civic Plaza, City Hall, the library and restaurants. It is also close to some of Surrey’s top schools, including Simon Fraser University and Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

Family-owned and -operated, Westland’s roots began in Vancouver with high-end single-family homes. Across its 15-year history, Westland has established itself as a developer renowned for design excellence, craftsmanship, and integrated technology.

“When I was brought in in 2015, Westland began multi-family projects,” says Zhang. “I grew up in Burnaby and attended SFU Surrey, which is across the street from Core. I’m very excited to be part of the changing landscape in a city I know so well.”
