Brighouse is a historic neighbourhood at the core of Richmond's city centre. Due to its location in Richmond's downtown core, Brighouse has much dense multi-family housing.

Brighouse is a historic neighbourhood at the core of Richmond's city centre. The neighbourhood was named after the early settler Samuel Brighouse, who was one of the "Three Greenhorns," farmers who settled in Vancouver around 150 years ago.

Due to its location in Richmond's downtown core, Brighouse has much dense multi-family housing. This includes a high concentration of condominiums and apartments. These condominiums are priced lower than those in nearby Vancouver, making it a prime neighbourhood for first-time home buyers. Brighouse real estate prices range from $245,000 to $1,189,000. The average price of a house in Brighouse is $758,915.

Brighouse is for those who prefer an urban setting with numerous shopping destination and amenities within arm's reach: the neighbourhood offers several shopping malls and outlets as well as the Richmond Public Library and the Richmond Ice Centre.

Brighouse Transportation

Translink offers numerous bus services to Richmond, including the C94 Richmond Oval/Brighouse Station and the C96 East Cambie/Brighouse Station routes. The quickest way for transit riders to commute to other parts of the Greater Vancouver area is to jump on the Canada Line at the Richmond-Brighouse station. Drivers can also take No. 2 Road into Vancouver.
