This home sold so fast – after a single day on market – that there are no listing photos to show, just a Google Street View screenshot. The fifth priciest property to sell in the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver’s region August 7-13 (registered as of August 16), this home is a two-storey detached house in Collingwood with a finished basement. The steep price tag could be due to the fact that the 51.1-by-104-foot lot is zoned for multi-family redevelopment. It sold for $54,000 under its $2,299,000 sticker price.

The most expensive condo registered as sold between August 7 and 13, as of August 16, is this super-cool, two-bedroom, designer loft in the heart of downtown Vancouver. It sold for $2,450,000, down from its $2,598,000 asking price, after 34 days on the market. This Homer Street beauty boasts double-height ceilings, a huge interior exposed-brick wall and a massive private rooftop deck with hot tub and outdoor kitchen.

In third place of our priciest properties list for the week of August 7-13 is this extra-opulent, nine-year-old Richmond home. This five-bedroom, six-bathroom detached house is in the Quilchena neighbourhood of Richmond and is packed to the brim with luxury elements and detailing. It sold after 13 days on the market for $170,000 above its asking price of $2.49 million, which is a rarity in high-end detached home sales these days.

This Dunbar detached house for $88K under its $2,988,000 list price after 43 days. There is just one solitary listing photo available, but we’re told the house was renovated in 2016 and has seven bedrooms, three bathrooms, and new flooring, kitchen, bathrooms and windows. We’re not sure whether the vendor will have seen a return on their renovation investment, as this property was most likely marketed and sold for its lot value, as it is an extra-large corner lot (nearly 55 by 110 feet) in a prime West Side location.

The top-priced home sale in the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver area (which includes the Sunshine Coast and Sea-to-Sky region) during the same week, as of August 16, was a Whistler property. This sale, at $3.9 million, down from the asking price of $4.25m, was for a huge, five-bedroom, log-and-stone mansion backing onto mountain parkland on one of Whistler’s most prestigious streets. This stunning property spent just 17 days on the market.
