Curv aims to be the world’s tallest passive house when it’s completed. Considered to be the most rigorous, voluntary energy-based standard in the design and construction industry today, the passive house approach aims to produce low-carbon, energy efficient developments that have a much lower impact on the environment.
In this episode of GREENLIGHT, host Stephen Tadgh discovers what Curv plans to bring to Vancouver’s West End and what homeseekers can expect from the development. On offer are homes ranging from 1.5 bedrooms to 3.5 bedrooms, seconds away from Nelson Park.
Find out what it's like to live in Vancouver's West End.
Project Analysis
Curv will be located in the heart of the West End, one of Vancouver’s most vibrant neighbourhoods. At the crossroads of Nelson Street and Thurlow Street, future residents will be a stone’s throw from the Robson shopping district, the Granville entertainment district and Davie Village. With so many nearby amenities, you might not think Curv needs to do much more to attract buyers. But wait until you hear what’s inside.
Future residents will have access to ‘The Haven’, the tower’s top floors that feature a rooftop pool and bar, a yoga studio, a virtual driving range and a luxury dining area. Below ground, you’ll find 11 levels of parking with space for 299 vehicles.
Inside the homes, expect Miele appliances, engineered hardwood floors, and a choice of quartz or natural stone countertops. Smaller units start at 541 square feet while the largest options come in at an impressive 1,825 square feet.
High-end quality and a super-central location come with an unsurprisingly high price tag, with units starting around $1.1 million (at time of writing). Interested buyers will need a minimum deposit of 15 percent to secure a future home.
