Eileen is an ex colleague and a good friend of mine. Prior to her becoming a realtor, we both worked in a prestigious law firm where she was the accountant and head of the accounting department. I was searching for a 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms condo in Richmond. I have used a different realtor but it did not work out. Then a friend recommended Eileen to me. In our initial 30 minutes conversation, the first thing that impressed me was that Eileen’s listening and requirement-gathering skills. She took the time to listen to my requirements, then asked analytic, probing questions. I was confident that she had a very good understanding of my requirements after that 30 minutes meeting. Then it was the actual tours. Per my request, I wanted to tour the maximum number of candidates in the least amount of time. Day 1 we had 8 listings planned. She suggested a very aggressive number which impressed me. If you are familiar of the 2022 BC housing market, you would know that it is hot, ridiculously hot. In fact, buyers are bidding up prices instead negotiating down. But Eileen was knowledgeable about the fair market price of the unit, and she went back and forth with the listing agent. In the current market, how many agents will go above and beyond to fight for the best deal for his/her client? Long story short, I got the condo at a great price. All thanks to Eileen’s knowledge, professionalism, and tenacity. In addition to that, I now have a trusted realtor.
