Cory Chapman was extremely helpful while helping us find our new home! He was hands on, no pressure, and available when we needed him. I had put a search in as we were moving from Peterborough, Ontario to Vancouver Island. He helped us survive the sometimes daunting process with humor, professionalism and a true desire to help us find our home, so that we would be happy with it. Chris expertly guided us on presenting an offer, when to negotiate, and when to hold back . It worked , because we now have a house ! In fact , he took us on an absolute joy ride ( in the best sense of the word ) , to explore the area around our new place . Christopher Walker is an amazing agent and person. All he ever wanted was to find a home that would make us happy. He worked incredibly hard to make that happen. Much of our search was done remotely and Christopher criss-crossed the Island to FaceTime properties. If he felt the property was a good possibility for us he would spend over an hour on FaceTime showing us the home and neighbourhood, even talking to some of the neighbours! I wanted everyone to know how detailed Christopher is in what services he really does provide, and much more. I heartily recommend him for your real estate needs. What do a mountain guide, golf pro and gym teacher have in common? They need to know very specific things to be good at what they do, they know how to guide you in all kinds of terrain and situations and they need to have the big picture view of where you’re headed even if the journey gets muddy at times. Christopher is like all three of these rolled into one, guide, educator and coach. Here’s what I saw and experienced during my recent home purchase in a pandemic & white hot real estate market. • Christopher has the map, knows the steps and calmly takes you through the process from the beginning to completion. • All along the way, he emphasizes that his main aim is for you as his client, is to be happy with your process. • And he reminds you that he is available for any concerns or questions once a purchase has concluded. It was efficient and meant I was not looking at places I wasn’t interested in or outside my price range. • He was always accessible by phone and email. • He kept me informed about developments and answered all my questions. • Once I found the right place, Christopher arranged a property inspection and provided me names of lawyers, as well as contacted my chosen one to set up my file. • He called the property manager of my home for some needed information. • And even when I asked to do something not often done in his real estate world, a pre possession day check of the property, he made it happen. • On possession day he even carried a bunch of boxes and belongings from my car to my new home. Cory Chapman is a listener. After 16 years in our home, we had specific ideas about what to promote when putting our property on the market. Cory not only listened to us, he actually heard what we were saying and acted accordingly, taking all our thoughts into consideration. It was also clear from the start that his goal was not to sell quickly, but to get the best possible price in a somewhat unpredictable market (our effort less than a year earlier had netted us 3 showings in 90 days). Cory never pressured us to do things "his way", and was amazingly patient with our many questions and emotions. Phenomenal experience! Christopher Walker and Cory Chapman were a sensational team that brought our house dreams to reality. Their insight and attention to detail was invaluable!
