I want to commend Julie Phoenix. I met Julie about 4 years ago when I purchased my first home in Squamish. It is worth noting that my wife and I knew little to nothing about how to purchase a home. Julie made the entire process simple. I had heard horror stories from friends and family members saying that real estate agents can be "sneaky" or that "they will do anything to make a sale". This was far from our experience with Julie. She was kind, informative, and always wil...ling to go out of her way to help us. Most importantly, she listened. She understood what our needs were and wanted to find the best place that would suit those needs. She did just that. Now, 4 year later Julie has exceeded our expectations once again. We were looking to sell our condo last year as we moved to Tofino, but despite our best efforts it was not the right time, so we decided to rent out our property until we were ready to re-list. Before the madness of Covid-19 we decided to re-list our property this year in January and found a buyer in February. This was much sooner than expected and at a great sell price. We truly believe this is due to Julie's efforts. To make matters complicated, Covid-19 strikes in March and our tenants did not want to move out due to the lack of safety involved with moving during a pandemic. This was unchartered territory for many of us - including Julie. However, she handled everything calmly and professionally. Without getting into the gritty details, Julie guided us through the process and gave us sound advice, which resulted in us taking the appropriate steps to ensure the sale of our property proceeded as initially planned. We are forever grateful that everything worked out and Julie deserves to be commended at the highest level. We have worked with a number of realtors over the years and Julie is hands down the best! Our working relationship began just over four years ago when we started looking at homes in Squamish. At that time, we realized we weren’t quite ready to make the leap to a new community quite yet. We then spent the next two years communicating with Julie on and off. Throughout this time, she was always very timely and professional in her communication anytime we had a question. She never made us feel like we were wasting her time and always took us seriously. When we were finally ready to make the move to Squamish, Julie worked incredibly hard to find us a wonderful house that fit the needs we required to make us feel at home in our new community. We were absolutely impressed by Julie's dedication and professionalism. When my parents (being 72 years old and less than fluent in english) decided to sell their property in Squamish I was expecting to have at least a few stressing situations in the process. Specially because I recently had relocated 6000 km away from them. Julie not only was very smart and understood what we needed. She was very kind and gave confidence to my parents during the whole process. She kept impeccable, clear, timely communication with me all the time. She worked really hard for us so my parents and I could have the best experience in what i initially thought was difficult situation.
