Rob stayed with me through the years it took to get my bungalow sold. In between I used his service to lease out the house. I do appreciate the calmness and resourcefulness Rob offered to help me endure the difficult years. The market has changed so much since the final sale on July 1, 2021. I would recommend Rob, for sure.

First of all he (Rob Vanovermeire) sold my large spacious home for me, listing it on Christmas eve and it was sold a few days into the New Year. No fuss just sold, (while he was marketing it on his holiday). Tons of emotion on my part because this has been a home we had lived in for decades. You understand, right? A few months later the first time I wanted Rob Vanovermeire to look together for a downsized living space for myself I was devastated what was on the market for condo living. So...did not want to go out to look again in spite of possession day for the new owners was approaching rapidly. Finally having the nerve to venture forth with Rob again we found and offered on a penthouse that more than met all the criteria and with skillful negotiation Rob got the price down to a remarkable, affordable price. He is skilled at negotiation. But more than that he dealt with my "over the top" anxiety with a steady hand. What has happened through these sale and purchase transactions has been nothing short of a miracle. I had very unusual way to meet Rob. I had my house almost ready to go and had met few realtors and almost decided on one. I don't know why but i ran into some ad on youtube and wanted to give it a try which i normally don't. Anyways Rob came over and that when we met first. I was impressed with his confidence and he offered renovation option with end gain. I knew there was no guarantee but his logic and experience made sense to me. Anyways we went with more upgrade with his team. Renovation was as always painful but the guys were easy to deal with and i could choose the area that i could do myself to save some money. Long story short. I did the reno and sold the house in couple days higher than asking. Well it was December 2021 in Calgary and the market was heating up and many house after us did the similar thing. So i might not have to do the reno to sell the house if we know the market was getting crazy like that but when we were preparing the house, the market wasn't like that. I am glad it turned out that way. I found Rob confident in wide area of real estate specially in negotiating and how to deal with different offers. Maybe he didn't shine as much as the market was so hot at the time but overall i was happy with him and i think his marketing would have worked even better if the market wasn't so hot.

I’m posting this because the way a business treats their employees is the way they do business. I was a contractor for Rob Vanovermeire and his agent Darren Ethier and they haven’t paid me for work completed and are ignoring all communications. Rob owns the brokerage and assured me that he was embarrassed by Darren’s behaviour and proceeded to not deal with this as well. If you’re looking to make the such important purchase there are tons of choices - don’t choose these guys.
