Nolan was super friendly upon our first meeting but it went downhill from there. We had a terrible experience working with him. He was very lazy. He never contacted us once to suggest a property that he’d come across. We did all the searching. On a couple of occasions, when we found a place that was in our budget, he responded saying that’ll “go well over asking”. Then we found out afterwards that it sold at or below asking. It seemed like any question or request we had was met with attitude and push back. He wants to have control over all communication but is a very poor communicator. He’d pick and choose when it was okay to talk about certain topics. For example, he’d bring up something about insurance and explain it, but then if I had a general question about insurance a week later he’d say “talk to an insurance broker”. It often felt like he was working against us and siding with the seller and seller’s realtor. We didn’t feel supported through the process and towards the end almost felt afraid to ask questions. He’d say one thing and then tell us something different. For example, we looked at a half duplex. We said, maybe we should knock on the neighbours door, introduce ourselves, and ask a few questions? Nolan said that’s a great idea and that he’d do the same. Then the next day he called me and practically scolded me, and said you shouldn’t be talking to the neighbours and that anything you say/ask them can hurt your chances of getting the house. We were just about to change realtors but found a place we loved and needed to make a quick offer so unfortunately had to stick with him. After our offer was accepted, he made it seem like most minor requests we had (that he had personally written into the contract) were an inconvenience for him or that we were being unreasonable. We started to lose trust that he was communicating with the other realtor in a way that supported our best interests. So I asked if we could be included on all communication going forward. He cc’d on us on one email but totally neglected to do so on all remaining communication. To put things in context, we only viewed two properties with him, I calculated he spent 4 total hours in person with us. We bought the second place we looked at. He spelled my name wrong on the offer and he came away with around $14K commission. It seems like he’s gotten used to working in a market where houses practically sell themselves and the buyers hold very little power. He made an already stressful process, a lot more stressful than it should have been. Bottom line, I’d never associate with Nolan again.

Nolan does a bang-up good job, when working with my clients. He is an excellent source of knowledge for business and lifestyle in the Sea to Sky Corridor. I consider him a trusted sources for all things real estate and so should you!

I am a first-time home buyer! I lived in Squamish for couple of years but I was away for a certain time, so I started the process remotely. Nolan was super helpful and took extra time to do proper virtual visits trying to make me notice all the little details even if I was not there in person. I targeted a condo very last minute once I had arrived here in person. Nolan was on vacation in another country at that time but he was once again super responsive and took the time to write the offer with no delay and to do the follow-ups.
