Greater Victoria is certainly home to some pricey homes. According to REW’s infographic, the median list price for a single-family house is $985K, while condos sit at $450K. Although home sales have cooled, prices here haven’t. A detached home in Victoria has gone up by 16 per cent and condos have risen by 13 per cent (YOY). The demand for condos has climbed, and our data certainly testifies to that as the most common searched for housing is a two-bedroom condo going for $800-900K.
Leading the way in growth, with an impressive 55 per cent jump year over year, is the neighbourhood of Fairfield West. As one of the most desirable neighbourhoods in the city, Fairfield West is home to some of the capital’s most sought-after real estate. Ranging from seaside to park side properties, the neighbourhood features a range of condos and single-family houses, to historic character homes and modern luxury estates.
However, when it comes to Victoria’s most popular neighbourhood, that title goes to Mayfair, upsetting last year’s coveted Oaklands.
