Some 78 per cent of mortgage consumers go online to research mortgage options, according to the latest mortgage consumer survey from the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC).
The survey also found that 73 per cent of those consumers also used online mortgage calculators to determine payments and affordability and to compare rates.
However, only 15 per cent of the online mortgage shoppers were doing their research on a mobile device, the survey found.
