Watch the video to learn how smart tools can make your house hunting easier!

All those homes. All those listings. All those pictures. When you’re on the hunt for a new home, everything you’ve looked at can start blurring together. It’s great to have one place where you can keep everything organized.

Well, is that place. We’ve got way more to offer than just searchable home listings.

Customize your searches down to the fine details. Set up property alerts to get email notice of new listings that fit your exact search criteria. Save your favourites in one place and get updates of any changes. Keep everything in one place with access from anywhere. You can set up in three easy steps:

1.    Sign up
2.    Search and set up alerts
3.    Save your top picks

Step 1: Register for your free account

Start by clicking the orange “Sign Up Today” button at the top of any page: Sign up Button

Enter your name, email address, and a password: Sign-Up Form

Click the Sign Up button. That’s it. Now you’re ready to save searches and favourite listings with smart tools that make house hunting a breeze.

Click Start Your Home Search on the confirmation page to begin. You can also find our search box by clicking on the Real Estate For Sale tab at the top of any page. Sign-Up Confirmation Page

We’ll also send you a welcome email with your login (your email address) plus a quick link to start your search. When you first sign up, you’ll automatically be logged in. To sign in going forward, click the Log in to My Account link next to the Sign Up button on any page and enter your email address and password.

Step 2: Search and set up alerts

Now for the fun part: searching and saving listings you like.

Let’s say you’re looking for a two-bedroom home in East Vancouver and have a maximum budget of $400,000. Enter your criteria in the search fields shown below and click Search: Initial Search Page

You can also get a full list of locations by clicking the blue View a Complete List of Areas link: MLS areas and sub-areas

Your search reveals a results page where you can explore and save listings, modify your search, or set up email alerts. This sample search pulled up 65 property listings. Explore them by clicking on the listing links or the orange bubbles in the map view: Vancouver real estate listings homes for sale search

Clicking the third listing in our search takes us to a detailed view of the property: photos, listing description, agent contact information, and close-up map view. You can add any property to your favourites by clicking the Save button beside each listing on this page or the detailed view.

Once you’ve saved a listing, you’ll be able to stay informed of any major changes to it. We’ll send an email if the price changes or the listing is removed from the market. Modify Search Criteria FormYou can modify or add details to your search from the left search menu.

Want to narrow down your search by property type, number of bathrooms, or even by square footage—or see what your budget can get you farther afield? No problem. Modify your search with the menu at the left of the main search results page. You can filter your search by:

  • Location
  • Property Type (e.g., condo, townhouse, house, or land)
  • Price (min.) and (max.)
  • Number of bedrooms
  • Number of bathrooms
  • Listings with open houses
  • And under the More Search Options link: by square feet (from) and (to), street address, postal code, new homes only, and keywords.

If you’re only interested in a townhouse, for example, you can select it from the Property Type pull-down menu. Modifying our sample search by townhouse reduces the number of listings from 65 to 2!

Putting the property type back to “any” and adding two bathrooms expands the number of listings to 29. (Warning: searching listings on can be highly addictive!)

Step 3: Save your search and create an email alert

Once you’ve finalized your search criteria, press the Save This Search as a Property Alert. We’ll send you an email the instant a new listing becomes available that meets your exact specifications.

You can save as many searches and property alerts as you want.

View your property alerts (and chosen listings) anytime by clicking the inverted triangle next to the welcome message at the top right of any page. Select My Property Alerts from the pull-down to see and modify your search alerts. Accessing Property Alerts

Here’s what the Property Alert page looks like:

Select My Favourites from the same pull-down you used to access your saved property alerts to see your saved listings: Favourites Page

Whether you’re just getting a sense of what you can afford, where—or you’re deep into your hunt with your must-haves nailed down— simplifies the process. It’s easy. It’s free. And your information stays entirely confidential.

On the page that comes up, go to the left column and click on Property Type. You’ll see a drop-down menu that includes Land/Lot. Click on that, then click the orange Search button at the bottom. You’ll see land parcels in Maple Ridge.
Click on the separate listings to see details like lot size (there are several beautiful 1-acre lots in there).
