The United Kingdom is our fourth-biggest audience outside of Canada, in terms of viewers checking out the Lower Mainland homes listed on REW.ca (even more than China, which is fifth). In previous weeks, we’ve covered off on the properties that click with viewers from the US, China, Australia and Hong Kong – this time we’re rounding off the list with the properties that are currently resonating most with our UK visitors.
We found a surprising mix of properties, none of which exceed a list price of $600K. While four of the top five listings drawing UK viewers are one- or two-bedroom homes from across Vancouver proper, the top-viewed property breaks this mold. Read on for all the details!

Two-bedroom, two-bathroom house

Cost per square foot: $171
The fifth most-popular home on REW.ca among our UK audiences is this two-bedroom float home. This home was also the #1 listing with our US audiences and, priced at $250,000, there’s little doubt that this is because it’s the least-expensive detached property currently on the market in Vancouver. The 80-by-30-foot barge has a 1,462-square-foot one-level home on the Fraser River with unbeatable water views. The property features two pellet stoves in the house, as well as a 22-by-21-foot deck with a wood stove and hot tub.
One-bedroom, one-bathroom condo
436 square feet
Cost per square foot: $975
This one-bedroom condo located in Vancouver’s downtown core is a ground-level corner unit that would be great for a newcomer just starting out in the city. The cozy condo features north-west exposure and a large, private patio. Both the kitchen and the bathroom have been remodeled. A locker is included in the offer and a parking spot can be rented from the strata.

This one-bedroom in East Van’s Collingwood neighbourhood is just eight years old. The unit is south-facing with an open floorplan, and features stainless-steel appliances, granite counters, engineered hardwood, and in-suite laundry and storage. Just three minutes to the SkyTrain and 15 minutes to downtown, the building is also close to shops, restaurants and the community centre.

Cost per square foot: $353
The second most-popular listing among our UK viewers is this two-bedroom condo in East Vancouver’s up-and-coming Renfrew neighbourhood, and this is a unit that is currently in our overall most-viewed homes list. There have been some updates in the unit, including laminate floors, bedroom carpeting and newer washer and dryer. The home also features a gas fireplace, while the complex has an outdoor pool and a fitness and ping-pong room, and is centrally located near SkyTrain and a high school. While rentals and pets are allowed, there are some restrictions. We would advise any prospective buyers – as with all condo purchases – to carefully read any strata documentation in case of upcoming assessments.

Bucking the trend of all of the Vancouver properties on this list is this three-bedroom, three-bathroom family house at Cultus Lake. Set on 0.43 of an acre, the private yard features a firepit and park-like setting just a five-minute walk to the lake. The house boasts two gas fireplaces, vaulted ceilings, engineered hardwood, and many updates including new paint, crown mouldings, exterior lights, blinds and hot water tank.
