How do I search for a property?
In the search box on the Home page, enter a location you’d like to see listings for. Click “Search.” This should generate results for the location you’ve chosen. You can also refine your search by selecting price and number of bedrooms and bathrooms.
How do I save my searches?
Save this search as a property alertClick the “Save this search as a property alert” button on your search results page. You’ll then be asked to sign up or log in. Signing up is free and your information will not be shared with anyone. Once you have completed the brief signup process and confirmed via email, you can save your search.
How do I sign up on your site?
Click on the “Sign Up Today” button in the top right corner and you’ll go to the sign-up form. Or click any orange “Save” or “Save this search” button and the form that appears will give you a “Create an account” link. Fill in the form and you’ll receive a confirmation message by email. Click the link in the email and you’re done.
How do I get Property Alerts?
To receive Property Alerts, follow these simple steps. For a detailed instruction, click here
1. Click the orange “Sign Up Today” button and create an account
2. Search and save listings you like
3. Save your search and create an email alert
You will receive an alert the day any new listings match your criteria. There is no limit to how many alerts you can add; you can sign up for as many Property Alerts as you wish.
I forgot my password. How can I retrieve it and/or reset it?
Click the “Log in to my account” link and click “Can’t access your account.” Enter the email you registered with and within the next few minutes you’ll receive an email that will remind you of your password. If this process still does not work, please let us know your email and we can ask our web development team to reset your password and account.
I signed up for your site and now can’t log in. Can you check that I am registered?
There are a few issues that could prevent you from logging in.

  • Make sure you check that you fully registered and that you received a confirmation email.
  • Check your junk email folder and spam filters to make sure the confirmation email was not blocked.
  • Try logging in with your email address and your password again and see if there is an error message and, if so, what it says.

If you still cannot log in after this, please contact our Customer Service Representative at  604 630-2504 or service@rew.ca. Give us your information and we can check our customer database. We will get back to you as soon as we find out the problem with the account.

I have not received any Property Alerts.
Please allow the system 24 hours to refresh our data and it should send out property alerts to your email. If the area you are searching does not have any new or updated properties, you will not receive an alert that day. Please also remember to check your junk folders and spam filters to add the “@rew.ca” domain to your safe senders list. Finally, if you have more than one email account, make sure you’re checking the one you used when you signed up.
How often is your site updated?
We update our site daily with new listings, agents and new developments.
I’ve listed my house with an agent, so why can’t I see the listing?
Ask if your Realtor’s broker (real estate agency) is signed up to participate in our free listings service. If it’s not, we cannot run the listings of its agents. Suggest that your Realtor talk to the agency management about signing up with REW.ca. They can call one of our Agent/Broker Account Managers for details:Ross Hansen, 604-439-2676 or rhansen@rew.ca  Jane Lin, 604-439-2690 or jlin@rew.ca  If your Realtor is already on REW.ca, it’s probably a time issue. Our data feeds are updated every 10 minutes; however it can take up to 24 hours for new listings or major changes on a listing to update and refresh on our site. Please check back later.
Which MLS® feeds do you pull from?
We pull from two MLS® data feeds: Whistler and Vancouver. We cover listings from the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV), Fraser Valley Real Estate Board (FVREB), Chilliwack and District Real Estate Board (CADREB) and the Real Estate Association of Whistler’s Whistler Listing System (WLS).
How do I see all developments for a specific developer (e.g., I only want to see developments from XYZ company)?
Please go to the “New Developments” page. In the search box, enter a developer’s name you like to see developments from. Click the developer’s name from the search results to view the “Developer Profile.” This page will list all developments from the specific developer. This process works for each different developer we have on our website.
I contacted a Realtor regarding a property. How long will it take until I get a response?
It depends on each Realtor, however it’s safe to assume that you will receive a response within 48 hours. Realtors are very helpful people! If you emailed a Realtor through our website and you want an answer urgently, you can phone them. All agents’ phone numbers are listed on our website.
I’m getting a message that I’m only allowed to see 500 listings. Why is that?
The Multiple Listings Service (MLS®) that provides our listings limits the results of any single search to 500 listings. We agree. If you’re seriously looking for a property you won’t want to look at listings that are totally irrelevant to your needs. We suggest that you refine your searches by area, number of bedrooms and bathrooms and other criteria. That way you’ll see only relevant listings. It’ll make your life a lot easier. And don’t forget, you can save as many different searches as you want.
I’m searching on a well-known neighbourhood but the search field won’t accept what I’m entering.
Our search is based on the area names defined by the local Real Estate Boards. The autocomplete feature in the search field will give you alternatives, however sometimes an area will have a popular nickname that doesn’t match the official names. If you know the larger area your location is part of, try entering that (e.g., “New Westminster” for “the Quay”). We also have a clickable list of communities.
My search did not generate correct results. How can this be fixed?
You can try your search again with broader areas and see what results you get. You may also want to checkout the list of area names. We also suggest that you clear your cache, refresh the site and try again in a few minutes. Sometimes a background update is going on so not all results are shown. If you still do not see the correct results, please let us know what you are searching for (i.e., Location, MLS # {if any}, Price, etc.) and we can contact our web development team to enter a ticket in the system for you.
How do I unsubscribe from your site?
There are several ways you can unsubscribe from REW.ca. By email: Notify our Customer Service Representative by emailing unsubscribe@rew.ca or simply click “Unsubscribe” in the email from REW.ca. On the website: Log in to your account and go to “Account Details.” Uncheck the “Receive Notifications” checkbox in My Email Preferences. 

Technical Issues

There is a bug on your site. XYZ doesn’t work on your website. How long will it take to fix?
Please contact a Customer Service Representative at 604-630-2504 or service@rew.ca. Let us know what the bug is and give us as much detail as you can, including screen shots if possible. Other crucial details we will need are: what page you were on, how you got to the bug, what button you clicked and what happened when you did? It can be fixed within 24 hours if we can fix it internally. However, if it is a major functionality bug on our website, we will have to report it to our web development team. Depending on the severity of the bug, they should be able to fix this within a maximum of 2 days. Please note that these are estimated times and it may take longer based on how much volume and requests we receive. However, the web development team will try to fix the bugs as fast as possible to ensure the site will run smoothly again.

Is it free to list on your website?
Yes it is free to run your MLS® listings and it always will be. By signing up to run your listings on REW.ca you will also be included in our Agent Directory. How long will it take for my listing to show up?
At most it will take 24 hours from the time you posted your listing.
Why can’t I see my listings?
One of the reasons you may not be seeing the listing is that the site has not refreshed and updated yet. Our data feeds need up to 24 hours to pull from the MLS boards and then refresh our site. Please check our site again 24 hours from the time you posted your listing and it should appear.
How long will it take for my information to show up on your agent list?
It will take 24 – 48 hours for your profile to appear on the agent list.
Why I am not listed on your agent list?
We may have not completed an agent data upload yet. However if we have and you are still not showing up, then we will have to contact our web development team to enter a ticket. Please provide your information to our Customer Service Representative at 604 630-2504 or to service@rew.ca and we will check our records and get back to you shortly.
I need a listing/development updated right now. How long will it take?
Depending on what information you would like to have updated, minor changes in copy will generally take 24 hours to complete. Major changes, such as picture addition/deletion and edits, will generally take up to 48 hours to complete. Please note that these are estimated times and they may change over time due to increase of volume and requests. However, we will try our best to update the property as soon as we can.
Can you change/add/delete this picture on this property?
Yes, it is possible to change pictures on a property. Please provide us with all the details and images and it can be changed within 24 – 48 hours. Please note that this is an estimated time and it may take longer based on how much volume and requests we receive. However, we will try our best to update the property as soon as we can.
Why is my listing is showing in the middle of nowhere on the map?
We will look into your listing right away. The most likely reason is a problem with the postal code. Try searching the address of the property—without the postal code—on a search engine such as Google. It should automatically display a postal code. Match the two and see if they are very different from each other. Another way to check for the correct postal code is to look at addresses close to the property and compare their postal codes. Please let us know if using the correct postal code solves the problem. If not, we can open a ticket in the system for you and look into it further.
