Nestled between the mountains and the waters of Howe Sound, Britannia Beach has come into its own as a community -- and it is close enough to central Squamish to enjoy the city's amenities. While still dominated by the hulk of the concentrator for the former copper mine (once the largest producer of copper in the British Empire) the community is the subject of many reclamation efforts designed to rehabilitate the site into a shining waterfront community.

Britannia Beach offers a small-town feel despite its corporate history. This is reflected in its home prices, which averaged $333,000 in 2010. Building lots start at $187,000, while the home price peaks at $745,000 less than in any other Squamish neighbourhood. View Britannia Beach MLS® listings

Recreational opportunities abound here, as in Squamish and Whistler, giving Britannia Beach a bright future as reclamation efforts complete and redevelopment in the community becomes viable.
